Very low cost internet
If your family has a child in the public schools who received
free or reduced price lunch, you can get internet from Comcast for only $10 per
month (plus a dollar tax, so it really costs $11 per month). To receive
this low price internet, you must not be paying Comcast for TV or internet.
If you are currently a Comcast customer, you have to cancel your Comcast
service, wait 60 days, and then you can get this low cost internet. Note
that this low cost internet is great for school work, email and internet
research, but it is not fast enough for downloading videos, TV shows or music.
To get this service, you need to call Comcast (855) 846-8376
and ask for Internet Essentials, or apply online at
www.internetessentials.com
You will also need a letter provide you qualify for the free or reduce-price
lunch program. You can get a letter from Lilly Quiñonez
in room B-20 or from the Food
Services department at the school district office by calling (650) 369-1411 x22591 or x22592
